Festive food tips from Sheffield’s finest

In this month’s edition of Now Then magazine we spoke to a selection of Sheffield’s local chefs, cafes, shops and restaurants to get their festive food tips.

This should be a time of year where we make the most of a bit of time out and enjoy time with our nearest. Instead of getting stuck in a shopping frenzy, why not try making gifts like biscotti or fill a hamper with food and drink favourites like decent coffee, a bottle of port and a selection of cheeses.

Reduce the stress by getting organised and making things ahead of time, like Yorkshire pudding batter, gravy and stuffing. Introduce simple tweaks to recipes to make them extra special: some lemon zest and chestnuts with your Brussels or a scattering of polenta on your roast potatoes for extra crunch.
