A food weekend in Wales

Dolgellau is a picturesque small market town located in the south of Snowdonia National Park, and sits at the foot of the mountain range Cader Idris, which provides a dramatic backdrop.

We first came to Dolgellau in April – it rained and it rained, then it rained some more. On a more positive note, we did discover some nice places to eat and when we decided to come back to Dolgellau for a weekend in the hope of seeing some sunshine, we decided to return to Y Meirionnydd and to try Dylanwad Da.

My first experience of a supper club

When I heard that there was a new Supper Club starting in Sheffield I was intrigued to find out more, especially as there isn’t currently one in the city that takes place in someone’s home.  I signed me and my husband up to attend to find out more about the experience and to try the food.

Food in St Ives

I chose Cornwall and St Ives as our summer holiday destination for the scenery, seaside and probably most importantly, the food. The area has a strong reputation for quality local produce and there are plenty of excellent cafes and restaurants to choose from in the town.
