Food review – Tamper @ Sellers Wheel

Tamper on Westfield Terrace has established itself as the place for quality coffee in Sheffield, since it arrived in the city centre in 2011. Focusing on great coffee with a small selection of cakes, sandwiches and breakfast options, you’ll often find this bijou cafe packed out. So if you have gone in and been disappointed that it is standing room only, then you will be pleased to hear there is now another Tamper in town located at Seller’s Wheel on Arundel Street.

Review – young ones @ The Showroom cinema

This was my second experience of a food event hosted by The Showroom Cinema. The first was back in March for an Escoffier- themed night cooked by head chef Simon Ayres and his team, which I thought was excellent.

This food evening was all about the ‘Young Ones’ and an opportunity for three trainee chefs who are currently gaining experience working in the kitchen at The Showroom to showcase their talents, by hosting and preparing a menu of their own design.

Review – Rajput

Britain has long had a love affair with curry and Sheffield is no different with plenty of curry places to choose from around the city. My personal favourites are 7 Spices at West Bar, Mogul Room on Sharrow Vale Road and East & West on Abbeydale Road. In this blog post, I want to concentrate on another place that has made it into my top curry places in Sheffield, The Rajput at Walkley.
